Testimony of Bob Bashor
One of the most devastating things that
can happen in one’s life is to be informed by your doctor
that you have cancer. In May 2002, I was diagnosed with two types
of cancer, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and Small Cell Lymphocytic
Lymphoma. I and my wife, Ann, talked with our pastor, Reverend Pat
Yarbrough, about the doctor’s findings. He said I didn’t
have time for this; I had too many things to do. He prayed for me
many times during this last 12 months. One time he said he had to
do just what the Lord had told him. He placed a candle at the altar
and had it burning during each service. He said, “Let the
flames of the candle represent the Holy Spirit burning the cancer
cells from your body”. Another time he prayed for me and anointed
my head with oil. He said, “Let the oil be for the healing
of your body”. Another time he gave me a prayer cloth after
praying over it and told me to put it under my pillow at night and
carry it with me during the day. And many times he called me to
the front of the church and prayed for me. One time he prayed and
cast the cancer out in the Lord’s name. Another time he stopped
while he was preaching and proclaimed “Bob you shall live
and not die.” My pastor’s prayers meant so much to me
and contained the “words of healing and life”. The whole
congregation was very supportive with their prayers and encouragement,
like a big family, the family of God.
During the course of 30 Chemotherapy treatments,
I was never sick and had minimal, if any side effects. I continued
working full time for the City of Joplin doing my work as Right-of
-Way Negotiator. Also continued doing my lawn service business.
I maintain about ten yards, some small and some large, plus my own
yard and landscaping projects.
On May 7, 2003 I was declared in remission.
I am now cancer free, Halleluiah, PRAISE GOD! I praise and thank
GOD for my healing and restoring me to good health. I have been
blessed abundantly, especially this last year. I have a nice home,
good cars, a beautiful and understanding wife, a great church, and
a wonderful and thoughtful pastor. Life has so much more meaning
because of GOD’s blessings.
I have attended Faith Tabernacle since
1971. I am thankful for my pastor, Pat Yarbrough, and his prayers,
his loving concern for each person in his congregation, and his
faithfulness to the pulpit. He preaches three services a week, works
six days a week, and still takes time to talk with and council his
congregation. He always greets everyone with a smile and a word
of encouragement. He could have retired many years ago, and probably
would have if he did not have the calling of God on his life. He
is a very special person who follows the leadings of GOD.
I thank GOD for giving my life back to
me. I am truly BLESSED.

Testimony of Ed Greenfield
In March 2003, I was diagnosed with a bad valve in my heart. The
doctor treated me with medication. When I started in March my heart
measured 5.8. By May, my heart was 6.0. The doctor told me, if my
heart got up to 7.0, it would be too weak to replace the valve.
Since my heart had changed for the worse, the doctor suggested an
echocardiogram. He wanted to see if my heart was strong enough to
accept a valve. The echocardiogram was done May 28, 2003.
The next day I went to church and ask my
pastor, Reverend Pat Yarbrough, to pray for me. During the service
he asked me to come to the platform. He prayed for me twice. The
first time he touched me on my left side. I was slain under the
power of the Holy Spirit. When I got up, he prayed for me again
and touched me on the right side. I was slain the second time. When
I got up Pastor Yarbrough told me, “While you are sleeping
God is going to heal you.”
One week later, June 5, 2003, I returned
to the doctor. I had a heart catechization. The doctor looked at
the picture, and told me I didn’t need a valve replacement.
I thank God for giving me a miracle. I praise God for his healing
power. I thank God for Pastor Yarbrough. When he prays God hears
and answers. I give God praise and thanks and honor for my miracle.
